My main research focus is in creating truly useful assistive devices, primarily exoskeletons, for augmenting and facilitating the motion-based aspects of the human experience. I'm also interested in effective sim-to-real transfer for robots and human exoskeletons, particularly where it concerns paying close attention to modeling and simulating physical systems. In general, I am not picky about methodology, and seek to bring the best of newer machine learning fields together with our time-tested classical engineering methods and sciences. In the past, I've worked on character animation and multimodal models for human motion.
